We've learned over the past year that proper Healthcare is vital for our economy and not just our well being. But getting staff to work in the sector is often a challenge in Europe. They tend to move from less well off countries to richer nations - leaving gaps and issues back home. How do you keep talented healthcare workers in your home nation? It's something I discussed with former EU Health Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis, Corinne Hinlopen, Jean-Christophe Dumont from the OECD, Markus Schneider from BASYS and Gediminas Cerniauskas from the EIHSD.

I love learning about new things and I certainly learned a lot when I moderated the virtual book launch of "The executive guide to block chain" featuring its authors Haydn Jones and Maria Grazia Vigliotti. I had to ensure that the two very knowledgeable authors didn't stray into pure jargon and technobabble.

I hosted a number of events as part of the Festival of Ideas which was held in Sept 2020. Here is one of the discussions about the gap in Digital Skills which has been exposed by the COVID-19 crisis and lockdown. It featured big brand names such as Vodafone, J&J and Randstad as well as former EU Commissioner Vytenis ANDRIUKAITIS.

I hosted a detailed discussion with the former Italian Prime minister and now EU Commissioner PAOLO GENTILONI about the €750bn Recovery Fund, imposing a digital tax on the likes of Facebook and Google and the risk that China may use European economic weakness after the pandemic to snap up key and highly sensitive assets.

I hosted a discussion between the EIB and EMI about whether Europe has all the right tools to restore the economy after what will certainly be the worst recession since WWII.

I’ve modified my home office to make it soundproof and installed an additional broadband line with download speeds of up to 350Mbps.

I’m working these days with all manner of software including Zoom, Streamyard, Bluejeans, MS Teams, CleanFeed and Skype etc.

I’ve also been guiding senior executives on how best to present themselves and their team during online chats with my Tips for Home Working.

Of course I also have 15 years experience hosting major (physical) events from small discussions to major events with thousands of participants.

I have been advising and training some of the most senior executives about how to prepare for testing interviews - be that print or broadcast.

My mock interviews will certainly test your ability to respond calmly and coherently under pressure. I can come to your offices to do that mock interview or we can do online. Afterwards a full report (with clips) will be sent to clients who need an aide memoire of what NOT to do when being interviewed.
